Stay at Home Wife and Mother

Home and Family from a SAHWM's Perspective

About SAHWM

What is SAHWM?

SAHWM is an acronym for Stay at Home Wife and Mother. It is what you call a woman who does not hold a job outside the house but works 24/7, 365 days a year, for her husband and children. Her responsibility is to make her house a home. Her bosses are God, her husband and her children. And the only payment that she needs are love, respect and care of her family.

My name is Sheryl and I am a SAHWM.

The shift from being an independent professional to being a SAHWM was not that easy. First, I had to give up my career, which, during that time, was being the Chief Financial Officer of a crewing agency for international shipping companies. Instead of computers, reports and meetings, my routine has transitioned into cleaning, cooking, home keeping. To top it all, I had to do that while I was battling homesickness and was adjusting to a new country, faces and lifestyle.

Five years after that decision, here I am – a happy and contented SAHWM. I am not saying my life is pure bliss but I am definitely blessed with a wonderful and loving husband and two sweet and cute daughters.

The SAHWM Blog

This blog started in October 2011 but I branded it as SAHWM: Stay at Home Wife & Mother – Home, Family & the World from a SAHWM’s Perspective only this year. The title alone suggests that I am going to cover a wide range of topics but, aside from my insights and tips, I would like to do focus on product reviews too.
