Coping with the Death of a Family Member

Some general coping methods can help you through this difficult time and there are suggestions that you can implement to help your children cope with the death of a loved one.

The First Few Days

Many people describe the first few days following the death of a loved one as blurry. It’s as if life is going on around them but they aren’t fully present. It’s during those blurry days that decisions and plans must be made. It’s okay to rely on family and friends to help you through the first few days.
