Why Use a Dog Daycare?

Even though you may love your precious pup, there are times when they just cannot stay in the house. Why it would be nice to treat them like children and take them everywhere, there are times when you cannot bring your kids along for everything either. When you are used to having your dog around all the time, it can be challenging to figure out when are the appropriate times to use a doggie day care in Michigan. There are four main reasons why people use doggy day cares and you should too.

1. Vacation/Work Travel
Unless your dog has total portion control, can pour their own water and can take themselves to one spot to use the bathroom, chances are that you’ll need to take them to a doggy day care when you’re on an extended vacation. Sure, you might have neighbors who are willing to come by the house and feed the dog once or twice a day. However, that can become very tedious and annoying. The wisest thing to do is to just take the dog to a trusted doggy day care facility and enjoy your vacation in peace.

2. Deep Cleaning
If you have carpet in your home, it’s common to do a deep cleaning of the carpet on a semi-annual basis. In addition to deep cleaning the carpet, many people love to do a routine deep cleaning. There’s the annual Spring-cleaning, but there’s also a quarterly deep cleaning that many people do. During these cleaning periods, it’s best to have pets far away. Carpet can take a little while to dry. While it’s drying, open the windows and let in fresh air. Allow this time to be free of any germs or dirt that pets can typically spread in a space. After the deep cleaning is complete, it’s okay to bring your pooch right back home.

3. Home Tour
If you’re trying to sell a house, you’ll quickly see how challenging the process can become. Selling a home can be cumbersome, uncertain and discouraging. However, there are certain standards when you’re selling a home. It is important to make sure the home is clean and displayed in its best light. It’s also important to make sure that all pets are out of sight and out of mind. Potential buyers want to walk through a home without being greeted by the bark of your Great Dane. They don’t want to be scared away by the growl of your Pitt Bull either. While your dog may be cute to you, it’s certainly not inviting to people looking to buy a home. If you are doing an open house, make an appointment and drop off your dog until it is over.
